Chapter 1650:
Kristian squeezed her hand. “Let’s go find him together.”
Nina shook her head, her voice tinged with hurt. “I tried so many times today, and he shutout. He doesn’t
want to see me.”
Kristian tilted his head, offering a solution. “How about you stay home, and I'll talk to him?”
Nina nodded slowly. “Okay.”
Just then, Jesse strolled over.
Kristian and Nina turned to him, curious about what he wanted.
Jesse looked at Nina with a playful glint in his eye. “Someone's waiting for you downstairs. Go check it out.”
“Who?” Nina asked, her curiosity piqued.
“You'll see when you get there.”

Jesse smirked, his tone light but pointed. “Your call, but don’t ccrying if Damian leaves without a goodbye.”
Nina froze, her heart skipping a beat. Then her face lit up like a sunrise. Damian! She raced down the stairs, her
footsteps a blur.
When she spotted Damian sitting quietly in the living room, her grin stretched ear to ear. She launched herself at
him, wrapping him in a tight hug. “Damian!”
Damian stumbled back onto the couch, caught off guard by her enthusiasm.
Nina giggled, her eyes sparkling. “What are you doing here?”
Damian's cheeks flushed faintly as he met her bright gaze. “I cto give you a goodbye gift.”
Nina's face lit up even more, if that was possible. She plopped down beside him, practically bouncing. “Really?”

Damian nodded, sitting up straight. He handed her a small square box.
Nina eagerly opened it, and Damian's hands grew clammy as he watched her.
“I wasn’t sure what you'd like, so | made something myself,” he said softly.
Nina's eyes widened. “You made this?”
In her hands was a wooden carving of a girl who looked just like her, complete with a tiny dress and a cute hair
clip.
Damian hesitated, unsure of her reaction. “Yeah.”
Nina's smile was pure sunshine. “It's adorable! You're so talented!”
Damian's shoulders relaxed a little. “Do you like it?”
“Like it? | love it!” Nina said, her voice bursting with joy. “It's the most unique gift I've ever gotten!”
Damian's tension melted away, his face softening.
Nina glanced from the doll to him, a thought dawning. “Wait, is this why you didn’t hang out withtoday?
Were you making this?”
Damian nodded, his voice honest. “Yeah.”
He'd started carving it the day Nina dragged him to the amusement park. It took hours to shape and polish the
wood, which was why he’d been too busy to hang out with her.
Nina's voice turned serious. “Next time, just tellwhat's going on. | thought you were avoiding me, and it
hurt.”
