Chapter 467
"You're so good at fabricating stories, Yolanda. It's a shyou're not a playwright," Diana interrupted Yolanda
before she could finish.
"You're saying that you had to lure the robbers away because you cared for our safety? The audacity you have to
spout lies like this!" Harold was fuming after he had heard Yolanda's explanation.
"Stop looking for excuses, Yolanda. Don't we know you well enough? With that puny courage of yours, if there
really were robbers, you'd be the first to run away!
"This is a lawful society. | refuse to believe that people would resort to robbery in broad daylight! Uncle Harold,
Aunt Diana, she's bullshitting for sure.
"If there really were robbers, the martyr's relic she had on her would be long gone. All these robbers only
understand what's valuable, and it doesn't matter who that valuable is on. Once they get their goods, they kill
the person off.

"How did she cback safely then?" Paul also treated Yolanda's words with disdain.
"Lies like these would only work on 3-year-olds. Don't you think so, dear?" Paul looked at Skylar pointedly.
"To sever ties with your family for an antique worth a few dozen million dollars... How greedy can you be? It's my
first tseeing such money-minded people like her." Skylar smiled and agreed with Paul.
"Since she hasn't seen much of the world, something worth a few dozen million dollars would have easily gotten
her to reveal her true colors."
"Aren't we clear about who you are, Yolanda? You'll only bring embarrassment to yourself if you keep lying like
this!" Yvonne added.
Everyone who was in that living room had something to say to mock and tease Yolanda. No one took what
Yolanda said to heart.
However, Yolanda didn't mind. She was still composed as she continued. She told them what happened that
fateful afternoon.
"I knocked them out and called the police so they could deal with these robbers. These were infamous robbers of
the Southdale area.
"Edna had never expected a martyr's relic to be hidden in the snuff box. Now that I've gotten my hands on that
martyr's relic, of course, she was very unwilling to let it go. She wanted to snatch it back.
"She intended to kill off those who knew about it, so even if she were to successfully snatch the martyr's relic
back, she wouldn't show mercy at all.
"If those robbers didn't confess to their sins, she would probably cover to the Henderson residence to
search for the martyr's relic again."
Once Yolanda was done, Paul led the others in a round of applause for Yolanda.
"You're done with your story? Amazing story you've fabricated there. Sadly, we won't believe your nonsense at
alll"
"You've exaggerated too much this time, Yolanda." Diana felt ashamed and embarrassed after hearing Yolanda
spew such stupid lies.
"I don't care if you fought with the robbers or called the police on your own, Yolanda. | only want one answer. Are
you surrendering the martyr's relic and staying in the Henderson residence, or are you going to be chased out,
thrown onto the streets, and bechomeless from now on?"
"Did you not believe anything I've said before?" Yolanda smiled faintly. This was the last chance she was giving
to the Hendersons.
"We believe nothing!" Harold was enraged.
"That's right. This is such a ridiculous lie. Anyone who believes you is mentally challenged."
Alice looked at Yolanda with contempt. "You can't even form a believable lie. How dumb can you be?"
Yvonne might not have said anything, but she was secretly gloating behind everyone's back.
It seemed like even if Yolanda were to surrender the martyr's relic and not be thrown out, the impression Harold
and Diana had of her was unsalvageable. She would not be able to turn things around anymore.
"I will not give you the martyr's relic," Yolanda said as she locked eyes with Harold.
