Chapter 1316:
Ellis blinked in mild surprise. “Then what were you doing those two hours?”
“Taking my time,” Freya said flatly.
Even though it was only a mock system, it still reflected their hard work. Crashing through it instantly would
have been disrespectful. Still, she had studied every part of it in detail. And if this was just their trial version, the
real system had to be ten times stronger. No one else could get past it.
“I'll set up a match for you next time,” Ellis said, already formulating a plan. “You'll attack. They'll defend. Let's
see how long they last.”
Freya nodded. “Alright.”
As they continued their conversation, they arrived at the training ground. Freya's team members were already
working hard under Michael's watchful eye. Even though Freya didn’t speak to them, one glance told her how
exhausted they were.
Ellis gave Michael a quick nod of greeting before calling everyone together.
What followed was a much more brutal training session. For over an hour, they pushed through relentless drills

“Freya, keep going. The rest of you, go eat,” Ellis ordered.
No one moved a muscle.
Frederick was the first to speak up. “Why can’t Freya eat?”
“She wasted two hours earlier. She’s making up for it now,” Ellis said flatly, without missing a beat.
Freya looked shocked. Everyone else was just as lost.
None of them could figure it out. “Why? Didn't you call her away yourself earlier?”
“Isn't that a little... unfair?”
“If anyone doesn’t feel like eating, you're welcto stay here and train with her,” Ellis said, scanning them all
with a cool look. “I don’t mind.”
At that, the group scattered like startled birds. As they left, they still managed to call back to Freya.
“Tellwhat you want to eat—I'll eat it for you later.”

Freya shot them a disdainful glare. “Save it.”
“Captain, be nice to Freya,” Greta called over her shoulder. And with that, she took off running, terrified of being
pulled back for more drills.
Once the others were gone, Ellis turned to Freya. “Do you wantto be nice to you?”
“No,” Freya answered firmly.
Her gut told her that Ellis’s idea of “nice” would cat a steep price.
