Chapter 1346:
Gerard sent over the guest list.
Ten minutes later, Kristian was scrolling through the names one by one. Not seeing the nhe was searching
for, he asked, “Anyone else besides these?”
Gerard replied, “No.”
Reading that, Gerard suddenly had a thought. Could Kristian be hoping Freya would show up?
Testing the waters, he typed carefully, “If there's someone you want to invite, | can send them an invite.”
Kristian pressed his lips together and replied lightly, as if it were no big deal. But the more he deflected, the
more certain Gerard became. So he cut to the chase. “Do you want Freya to come?”
Kristian replied instantly, “No.”
He tossed the phone aside, rubbed his tired brow, and leaned back on the sofa, hoping the silence would
somehow untangle the mess in his head.

place to invite Freya.
The next morning arrived in a blur of excitement and crisp sunlight. Gerard, flanked by his groomsmen, set off to
pick up his bride. Upstairs, in one of the quieter hotel suites, Kristian and Felipe remained behind, enjoying a rare
lull in the chaos.
Felipe ended a call, his voice soft from speaking to Isabella. As he set the phone aside, Kristian broke the silence.
“When are you heading to Alerith to visit Isabella?”
“Next month, probably,” Felipe replied. “She’s swamped this month—assignments, exams. If | show up now, I'll
only get in her way.”
Kristian nodded, then added without looking up, “Letknow. I'm coming with you.”
Felipe shot him a sideways glance. “What for? Don’t tellyou're going there to see Freya.”
“No.” Kristian’s reply cflat and fast, but his eyes gave nothing away—like deep water that never let light in.
“I just want to see Isabella. She’s grown so much... and I've never even met her.”

Felipe wasn’t buying it. “Really?”
Kristian didn’t blink. His calm was impenetrable.
But Felipe knew him too well. Of all Kristian’s friends, he was perhaps the only one who could still read the man’s
silences. “You're not just going for Isabella, are you? You want to catch a glimpse of Freya's kids.”
The last tthey'd talked, Felipe had casually mentioned that Isabella’s school sat right across from Jesse and
Nina's kindergarten.
It wasn’t hard to guess what Kristian really had in mind.
