“You know, not a single one of your girlfriends actually loves you,” Jessica said flatly, her words sharp and
unapologetically direct.
Jack’s face darkened, caught off guard by the bluntness. He scrambled for a defense. “You wantto call them

Jack stared at her in frustration. Cornered, he lashed out. “Do you want my help or not?”

well quit running after girls and learn how to manage your business for once.”
“And what makes you think | need life advice from you?” Jack scoffed, puffing his chest up again.
Jessica simply let out a quiet sigh. She wasn’t about to waste her energy arguing. Let him crash and burn if he

just occurred to him.
Jessica leaned lazily against the desk. “What is it?”
