He got up and headed to the study to write the invitations.

Timothy took out his fountain pen and finished the first wedding invitation. His handwriting was steady and bold,

each letter confident and clear.

The two names sat side by side on the card-his and hers. It was just how he wanted it.

Over an hour later, Secretary Allen arrived. When he stepped into the study, he found Timothy still at the desk,

filling out more invitations for his and his wife's wedding.

The sight left Secretary Allen a bit embarrassed. Even though the wedding decorations hadn't been called off

yet, Mrs. Lawson had stopped talking to President Lawson altogether. What was the point of writing all these

invitations?

He couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

"President Lawson, the photographs just arrived. There's glue in the box as well." "Alright, thank you. I'll take

care of it."

Secretary Allen hesitated before asking, "Should we... call off the wedding arrangements?"

Timothy's pen froze. He looked up, his gaze icy and sharp as it landed on Secretary Allen.

Allen immediately dropped his eyes. "I have sthings to take care of excuse me," he mumbled, then hurried

out of the room.

Timothy lowered his head and continued writing.

When he finished, he carefully attached their photo in the slot reserved for it inside each invitation.

They looked good together.

The only thing missing was a proper wedding photo.

Last time, he'd suggested they fly overseas to take wedding pictures. Multiple gowns were already reserved, the

stuwas booked, everything was set-but she refused to go. He'd been so angry then, he swore he'd never ask

her for wedding photos again.

But now, that was all he wanted. Just one set of pictures together, something to remember their wedding by.

In their registry photo, she'd only worn a veil and a simple white blouse, yet she looked beautiful. He couldn't

help but imagine how stunning she'd be in a white bridal gown.

He set aside the invitations and handed a stack of birthday invitations to Mabel. "Find someone with good

handwriting to fill these out," he instructed.

"For the young master's birthday?" Mabel asked.

"Yes. Do we have a guest list?"

He hadn't prepared one, so he said, "Use the sguest list as the wedding invitations in the study."

"Understood, sir."

With that, Timothy left the house.

Mabel went to the study, picked up the invitations, and stared at them wide-eyed.

Has he lost his mind? she wondered.

Mrs. Lawson won't even chome, yet here he is, fussing over invitations for a wedding on the fourth, no less!

Who does he plan to marry? The air?

Timothy drove to the Zimmerman estate. As his car cto a stop, he saw the butler hurrying out of the manor.

Timothy caught up to him and grabbed his arm. "Is Larkin home?"

The butler shook his head, looking anxious. "Mr. Zimmerman went for a walk, but he collapsed outside. Someone

called an ambulance-he's been taken to the hospital. Lust got the call and was about to head over."

"I'll drive you," Timothy offered at once.

"No need, I'll go myself. Mr. Zimmerman was very clear-no help from the Lawsons!"

The butler jumped into a waiting car and sped off.

Timothy frowned deeply, then got into his own car and followed close behind.

He trailed the butler all the way to the hospital.

At the surgery wing, the butler had barely arrived when a nurse cout.

"Family of the patient?"

The butler rushed forward. "I'm here."

"We need you to sign consent for surgery. The patient has had a cerebral hemorrhage and needs emergency

minimally invasive drainage."

The butler blanched. "Is it that serious?"

"We need to relieve the bleeding, now!"

"Just a moment, | need to call the family first."

The nurse grew impatient. "Aren't you the family member?"

"I'm only the butler. For something like this, | have to get approval from the family."

"But none of them can get here in tto sign the consent! Aren't there any immediate relatives?"

The butler was stunned. There was only Daisy left at home, but she was far too young to sign.

Timothy stepped forward. "I'm his grandson-in-law. Can | sign?"
