Chapter 606: Something's Coming

Carl's jaw tightened. It made no sense medically. With her brain waves, she shouldn't have processed a single

word. And yet, Arthur wasn’t someone to imagine things.

"You're most likely right," Carl admitted after a pause. "Even if it goes against everything the scans told us." He

turned sharply to the team. "Repeat the neuro tests. Check her brain waves again. If she’s defied the results

before, she can do it again."

His voice was steady, but there was something in his tone, like a man holding onto the edge of a miracle with

both hands.

Carl moved to the door, hand on the knob, but paused. His voice dropped low, not aimed at anyone in particular.

Everyone knew who he meant. Arthur didn’t flinch but he understood.

Carl suddenly turnedaround, his gaze swept the room, his words gentle but carrying enough weight to freeze the

air.

"And why are you all still standing here? Don’t we have tests to run?"

"Yes, Doctor Carl," the team answered in unison, springing into motion.

The air shifted instantly, from grief to purpose.

Everyone immediately sprang into action, medical staff moving like clockwork under Carl's orders. None of them

noticed that the girl lying unconscious on the bed could still hear every word.

Deep inside her mind, Nnenna sat in a warm, well furnished living room. Across from her, on a velvet chair, sat a

young stunning girl in her early twenties dressed in a beautiful white gown.

She looked calm, almost too calm, as though being in someone’s mind was just another picnic on Saturday.

"Carl's angry, isn’t he?" Nnenna muttered, her brows furrowed. "He might not shout, but | can hear it in his

voice."

"You're right," the girl replied softly. "But who wouldnt be? You know how it feels when the people you love

suffer. He's just a man watching his family hurt."

Nnenna sighed, leaning back. "And you, you keep tellingthe sthing. Get a hold of my emotions."

"Because it's true." The girl's expression sharpened. "Stabilizing you cost a significant number of good points.

And in case you've forgotten, you're unconscious. If this keeps up, you won't be able to earn them as easily

anymore."

Nnenna glanced away, her lips pressed into a thin line.

"Fortunately, you've done a lot of good. Your steady actions have been bringing in points. Not to mention your

mission regarding Carl's health, that’s complete. And thanks to some... hidden reasons, you also earned a huge

amount of good points from both Carl and Arthur." The girl leaned forward, lowering her voice. "But don’t get

careless. You never know when you'll be forced to do something that demands more than what you've saved."

She tapped her finger against the table, each tap echoing like a warning bell.

"Calm yourself, Nnenna," she finished. "Or the next time... you might not have enough left to pay the price."

Nnenna nodded slowly. "I know," she whispered. "Hearing that news, this whole thing, wasn’t easy foreither.

When will | wake up? They need me. If | feel this desperate, imagine how they feel."

"It’s not tyet," the Love System said, shaking its head. "You need more time. You need to stay with me

longer."

Nnenna frowned. "Stay with you?"

The Love System sat up straighter, its voice firmer. "I didn’t tell you this before because you were shaken when

you're calmer, so you should know."

Nnenna leaned in. "Know what?"

"Something is coming," the system said. "And it's your destiny to stop it. You won't be alone as my master will

Nnenna flinched at the memory, then kept listening. "You're kidding?" she asked, doubtful. "How can | stop it?
