Chapter 479

"It's been a while, Winnie," Julie said as she wore the sunglasses in her hair.

Even after Julie saw Winnie, the expression on her face remained unchanged, but the look in her eyes softened a

lot.

"This is for you!" Winnie passed the bouquet to Julie excitedly. Then, she introduced Julie and Yolanda to each

other.

"This is my friend, Julie Monroe, Yolanda. This is my cousin, Yolanda, Julie."

"Hi," Yolanda greeted and nodded in acknowledgment to Julie, but Julie merely dipped her chin down a little in an

unbothered manner. She didn't even care to say hello.

"Don't mind her, Yolanda. Julie's like this to everyone." Winnie smiled as she tried to pacify the situation. She

took the initiative to carry Julie's luggage.

"Let's go."

"How so?" Julie stood there, unmoving. "You bought a car, Winnie?"

"No. | just graduated two years ago. | can't afford a car yet. My cousin had hers driven here so we can go back in

her car."

"Her car?" Julie, who had her sunglasses on her face again lowered it slightly to give Yolanda a once over. Then,

she frowned slightly.

"Forget it. My dad has arranged for a driver to get me."

She saw how shabby Yolanda's attire was and assumed that she wouldn't have any cars worth her while.

She couldn't afford to embarrass herself by turning up at the hotel in a Corolla.

"Huh? Then I—" Winnie was caught in between. If Julie didn't want to go with them, what was she supposed to

do?

Yolanda offered to send them back out of the goodness of her heart. If she were to follow Julie, it would be very

rude of her, but she call the way to welcJulie, so she couldn't just follow Yolanda back to the city.

"You haven't seen your friend in a while. You should go with her. | can go back on my own." Yolanda saw the

dilemma Winnie was in and made the decision for her.

"No need, Winnie. I'm a little tired. | want to head straight to the hotel to rest. I'll give you a call when I'm

available, okay?"

Julie took her luggage back from Winnie. She just got off the plane. All she wanted to do was soak in a bath back

at the hotel and relax.

"Okay then. Callwhen you reach the hotel."

Winnie looked at Yolanda and said, "I'll follow you back, Yolanda."

Julie didn't want Winnie to be stuck in the middle as well, so she gave all of them a way out.

At the stime, she disregarded Yolanda. Winnie might be from a middle-class family, but at least she dressed

tastefully. She portrayed a stylish image.

Yolanda on the other hand was a typical fat bumpkin. What kind of car would a person whose clothing was only

worth less than a hundred dollars have?

Julie thought that for her to assYolanda had a Corolla was already holding her in very high regard. If she

really were to go with Winnie, she might even end up in a cargo van.

Her family owned a chain five-star hotel in Riverdale. If the employees of the hotel saw her arriving in a cargo

van, how could she exude her status as an employer to get them to follow her orders from then on?

"Yolanda, Julie's like this. When I first met her, she was always aloof as well. But after being friends with her for a

while, you'll find her to be a pretty decent person."

Winnie was worried that Yolanda would be offended, so she quickly explained herself.

"She's your friend. Not mine. As long as you don't mind her."

Yolanda certainly wouldn't get angry at a haughty lady she had only met once. It wasn't necessary.

"It's great that you're not angry!"

Quickly, Yolanda and Winnie had found the designated driver. Yolanda passed her

car keys to the driver and got into the car with Winnie.

"Mr. Fuel gave you such an expensive car, Yolanda!"
