Chapter 736
Margaret was on the verge of speaking when Frederick beat her to it. "I got a call from Penny yesterday. Care to
explain what that's about?"
Margaret paused, swallowing the words that had almost escaped her lips.
Well, discussing Penny first wasn't a problem. After all, these events had unfolded around the stime.
"My mom didn't die. After falling off the cliff, Violet saved her."
"Your mom?"
Margaret blinked, surprised by his reaction. It seemed Penny had kept the news under wraps quite well.
"Yes, my mom. She overheard ssecrets from Yuna Lockwood and Zoe, and found out I'm her daughter. Yuna
drove her off the cliff. Does that make sense to you?"

"She was saved by Violet?"
"Yes." Margaret nodded. "After Violet saved her, she started working at Poppy Petal Fragrances. She and my
mom set a trap for Yuna. Yuna's hallucinations were actually caused by Penny's hypnotism. That explains why
Penny would always whisper in my ear after Yuna had an episode. She probably wantedto go to the police."
Frederick's expression shifted as he firmly said, "Stay away from her from now on."
"Stay away from who? Violet?"
Frederick nodded. "Yes."
Margaret was utterly confused. "Why? That's like cutting off your nose to spite your face."
"Violet, on the surface, seems unassuming, but she's full of schemes. I don't like that."
"I know you dislike manipulative people, but Violet helpedand my mom. Having a bit of cunning isn't entirely
bad. It can save oneself or others when necessary, right?"
Frederick gently brushed Margaret's hair, his voice soft with concern, "I just worry her intentions might not
always be noble. You're too trusting, and that can lead to trouble."
Margaret frowned, feeling a bit annoyed. She thought Frederick was being overly suspicious again. Violet had
helped them, even saved her mother's life. How could she be the person Frederick described? But arguing over
Violet wasn't why she was here.
She needed to tell Frederick that Hayes and Teresa were his children! That was the most important thing!
"Frederick, there's something more important | need to tell you..." Just then, Sandra barged in with a smile,
"You're both up, | see? The door was ajar, so | let myself in. Hope I'm not interrupting?"
Margaret opened her mouth to speak but found herself speechless. Talk about timing!
Was this not an interruption?
It could've been any other time, but Sandra chose this moment!
Remembering it was Sandra's birthday, Margaret tried to hide her frustration. Responding mechanically to
Sandra's smile, she heard Frederick say, "Not at all, we were just finishing up."
Finishing up? Far from it!
Margaret hadn't even gotten to the main point yet.
"Perfect timing. Let's go have breakfast. There's searly prep for the party that might need your help,
Frederick. There are a few special guests I'd like to invite but need someone to introduce us."
Frederick, leading Margaret out, replied, "My pleasure. Shall we discuss it over breakfast?"
"Sounds good!"
And with that, Margaret was whisked away to the dining room, facing Sandra and the guests, once again at a
loss for words.
After all, this was a matter between her and Frederick. Explaining the misunderstandings and entanglements of
the past would take time, and it certainly wasn't something to share with others.
Feeling frustrated, Margaret realized that sometimes, patience was necessary. She'd be with Frederick these next
few days; there would be another chance to speak.
