Chapter 482
Brenda kept repeating her threats while trembling. She then fumbled for her phone in her coat pocket.
"I'm calling people to deal with you right now!" she snarled between heavy breaths. But she was still cursing at
Yolanda and Sharon. "I can just call someone right now to end you both, believe it or not!"
"Not really." Yolanda smirked. "Hurry up if you're going to call someone. | don't have all day."
Yolanda did not want to waste there. She was ready to call the police if Brenda kept causing trouble, but
Brenda thought she was getting scared.
Grinning with satisfaction, she pressed the call button with an evil face. "Hah! Scared now, aren't you? | warned
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtyou not to mess with me! Just you wait!"
How dare this woman in cheap clothes stand up to her? Though Brenda was not from Riverdale, she was the
precious daughter of a wealthy family back hwho was worth millions. No one had ever dared cross her.
Plus, she had plenty of rich and powerful relatives right here in Riverdale. She would certainly make Yolanda pay
for those slaps!
The call connected quickly.
"Aunt Diana, it's Brenda! Oh, my mom and everyone else are fine... Listen, I'm in Riverdale, and these two crazy
women just crashed into my car! They won't pay for damages and they even hit me! Please chelpdeal
with them!
"I'll send you my location... Bring backup, they're threatening to teacha lesson!"
After hanging up, Brenda lifted her chin haughtily at Yolanda and Sharon. "Just wait! My aunt's coming with
backup. You're both dead!
"My aunt married a big-shot businessman who's very famous in Riverdale. One phone call and she can even
summon the underground forces. Are you scared now?!"
Ignoring Brenda's shouting, Yolanda checked Sharon's car. Sharon's car had impressive impact resistance despite
being a domestic car. It was better than many mid-range imports. After being rear-ended by the Mercedes, only a
small patch of paint was scraped off near the tail light.
Even though the paint repair would not cost much, Yolanda was determined to make Brenda pay every penny.
Neither Yolanda nor Sharon would have made a big deal of it if Brenda had simply apologized for hitting the car.
But since Brenda was being so aggressive after breaking traffic rules herself, Yolanda could not let this slide.
"Yolanda, have you eaten lunch?" Sharon ignored Brenda's ranting as she pulled out two sandwiches and some
sanitizing wipes from her car. "Have something to eat."
Though Yolanda had not been particularly hungry, the sight of the sandwiches made her appetite return.
"You're dead meat! Both of you! My aunt's backup won't let you off easy!"
They finished their sandwiches and Sharon's thermos of fruit tea, all while Brenda continued screaming. After ten
more minutes, Yolanda's patience wore thin. "When exactly is your backup arriving? You've got five minutes
before | call the police."
"You're scared now, aren't you?!" Brenda grew even more smug. "Lettell you something. Calling the police
won't save you. My uncle has connections in the force. They'll lock you up for a couple of weeks. Then, we'll see
how tough you act!"
